PHILADELPHIA — Kyrie Irving went for 21 points in 25 minutes as the Celtics moved to 2-0 in the preseason with a 110-102 victory over the 76ers last night. The Bostonians led by as many as 14 before things got extremely sloppy late.
Irving rebounded from a 3-for-10 first half to hit all four of his shots in the third quarter (three of the attempts were treys). The bench, led by Marcus Smart and Terry Rozier, solidified the Celts’ lead by turning up the defense.
Rookie Jayson Tatum got a start and hit his first three shots on the way to nine points and five rebounds in two minutes.
