Though not necessarily fair to him, the Celtics’ secondary scoring load in recent games has often fallen on Jayson Tatum, a rookie forward. That circumstance speaks in part to the drained offensive ability during the two-game losing streak the C’s carried into last night’s game against the Bulls.
But Brad Stevens believes Tatum is growing into the role.
“I think as the season goes on, you learn more and more about the guys that are there, what they can handle, what’s best for them,” said the Celtics coach. “The age-old question then becomes, ‘If he becomes more the focal point on certain actions, is that a good thing, efficiency-wise?
