WALTHAM — Roughly two weeks ago Avery Bradley’s operative word was “slump.”
Bradley returned to the Celtics lineup in early January after missing three games to a sore left hip, and he needed time to rediscover the basket. In Wednesday’s win at the Garden against the Denver Nuggets, he tied a season high with 27 points, shot 5-for-13 from 3-point range and once again appeared to be a solid complement to Isaiah Thomas, especially early on.
In the first half against the Nuggets, Bradley scored 22 points, and he has taken an old piece of advice to heart from Tyronn Lue, the former C’s assistant who recently replaced David Blatt as Cleveland Cavaliers coach.
