TORONTO — Avery Bradley missed his 21st game to a strained Achilles last night, though the Celtics insist the guard is on track to return to the lineup soon.
Soon — that’s Brad Stevens’ word.
“He’s getting closer to playing. I don’t want to put a timeline on it, but I think we’ll see him sooner than later,” said the Celtics coach. “Avery had a great one-on-one session (yesterday) after we were done with shootaround — it was really his first live action. It felt really good, he’s going to do what he has to do (last night), same thing (tomorrow) and just keep going day-to-day.
