Entering the season, the majority of NBA pundits labeled the Boston Celtics as a playoff contending team, but did that mean they could compete with the best teams in the Eastern Conference?
If Friday night’s win against the Atlanta Hawks – the winningest team in the East – was any indication, then the answer to that question is: Absolutely.
They out-hustled and out-muscled the Hawks for 48 minutes en route to a convincing 106-93 win.
Just a reminder, this is the same Hawks team that led the Eastern Conference with 60 wins last season; the same squad that had four players on last year’s All-Star roster.
