Celtics, Marcus Smart’s agent reportedly engaged in contract talks

Celtics president of basketball operations Danny Ainge and restricted free agent Marcus Smart’s agent, Happy Walters, are “seriously engaged” in contract talks, ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski reported Wednesday.

Wojnarowski reports the deal is in the four-year, $46-50 million range. Smart has only received a $6 million qualifying offer from Boston, but told ESPN’s Jackie MacMullan’s he thinks he’s worth “more than $12-14 million” per year.
