Recent talks in the NBA rumor mill has David Lee as the center of attention in terms of possible trades for the Celtics. Via Jay King of masslive.com:
The Boston Celtics have made David Lee's expiring contract "available" on the trade market, according to NBA.com's David Aldridge.
At 32, Lee has always been unlikely to stay in Boston for the long term. His $15.5-million expiring contract could allow team president of basketball operations Danny Ainge to target a star-type performer without aggregating salaries of younger players. In other words, Ainge could potentially float a package of Lee and future picks without impacting the nucleus of the current roster.
