Notes from the Boston Celtics' 115-109 loss to the Toronto Raptors:
1st Quarter:
- Hot shooting by the Raptors out of the gate in the first quarter, Sullinger shooting poorly to start, and the Celts fall behind early
- Transition D was a weakness for the C's early - Luis Scola beat everyone down the court twice
- Zeller picking up some minutes in the first
- Toronto shooting unbelievably well, go into half up 35-27
2nd Quarter
- Kelly Olynyk comes into the game, makes a three to start the second quarter
- Marcus Smart with a great, aggressive defensive play to force a jump ball
- Celtics have not gone back to KO since his made 3, you have to force-feed him the ball
- No shots yet for Marcus Smart, 6 minutes into the second
- Once KO, Jerebko, and Smart started shooting, the Celtics closed the lead to 3 (43-40), forcing a Toronto timeout
- The three of them have dragged the Celtics back into this game, and their energy clearly invigorated the rest of the Boston team
- Avery Bradley now playing better and more aggressive basketball
- A Bradley breakaway dunk gives the Celtics the lead
- Starters brought back in, but Stevens kept KO in in place of Sully
- The newly energized Celtics continued their onslaught, and carried a lead into halftime - 62-56
3rd Quarter
- Avery Bradley's strong shooting allowing Boston to hold its lead early in the third
- Sullinger continuing his weak showing, airballing a jumper and then setting an illegal screen
- Toronto shooting very well again, early in the second half
- Another made 3-point shot gives the Raptors the lead
- KO injecting energy, and a made 3 by Crowder evens the score at 73
- Olynyk really embracing the drive-and-kick, and it's paying dividends for Boston
- Valanciunas really hurting Boston inside
- Third q ends with Boston down, 90-96
- Toronto shooting 60.
