Justin Anderson boosted his 3-point shooting at Virginia last season, jumping from 29.4 percent as a sophomore to 45.2 percent, despite breaking the pinkie on his (left) shooting hand.
And like all of the other small forwards the Celtics brought in for a predraft look yesterday, Anderson already has the defensive side of the ball nailed down. Perhaps Celtics coach Brad Stevens liked what he saw. Anderson, taking the opportunity as a job interview, certainly liked his view of the Celtics practice facility.
“I told coach I really want to play for him, I like his style,” Anderson said after a workout that also included Arizona’s Rondae Hollis-Jefferson, Michigan State’s Branden Dawson, Texas’ Jonathan Holmes, Oklahoma State’s Le’Bryan Nash and Alabama’s Levi Randolph.
