Celtics exec Danny Ainge has obviously moved on, at least for now, on first-round draft pick Robert Williams' early mishaps.
Robert overslept on a conference call from the Celtics after being drafted 27th in the first round of the NBA draft, and then promptly (not promptly?) missed a flight that would have landed him at Boston's very first Summer League practice. These were obviously minor infractions but are negative signs for a young man that wants to be a star on a storied NBA franchise.
There is a bit of wiggle room on rookie contracts where a team can give their newly-acquired player anywhere from 80% to 120% of the rookie scale.
