The Boston Celtics and Phoenix Suns have registered interest in Houston Rockets wing Jae'Sean Tate. Both Boston and Phoenix have been looking for rotation upgrades but are limited in what they can offer via trade.
The Celtics are very limited in who they can trade for due to almost all of their salaries tied up in the their top 6. Payton Pritchard's contract could match a better player, but he also has a role on the Celtics. The 28 year old Tate's salary of $6.5 million makes him attainable.
Tate has seen a reduction of playing time this season, as the Rockets have added more talent and gotten better.
