Celtics' clinch No. 2 seed despite missing 3 starters vs. Raps

BOSTON -- The Celtics clinched the No. 2 seed in the Eastern Conference playoffs with a 97-93 win over the Toronto Raptors on Wednesday, despite missing three starters.

Jayson Tatum sat with a bruised left hip and he was joined by Marcus Smart (neck spasms) and Al Horford (back spasms).

Tatum scored 19 points in 38 minutes in Tuesday's loss to the Philadelphia 76ers. Smart played 30 minutes, scoring 17 points. Horford had 11 points, eight rebounds and six assists in 35 minutes, but continued to rest on the second night of back-to-backs.
