As the New York Knicks continue to search for a replacement for Jeff Hornacek, Boston Celtics assistant Jay Larranaga told reporters Thursday that he spoke to the Knicks about their head coach opening this past weekend.

Larranaga has been with the Celtics since 2012 as one of Brad Stevens’ lead assistants. He and Micah Shrewsberry have manned the sidelines for the Celtics during summer league action as well.
