Marcus Morris said it best when he claimed this season hasn’t been fun for the Boston Celtics. It hasn’t for the players, and it’s been equally miserable for fans.
The expectations had something to do with it. They made the slow start seem worse than it actually was, and they’ve made the entire season worse than it actually has been. But that’s the price of being a contender. Every win is something that should have happened, while every loss is amplified.
Then we have people start to choose who they’re going to blame, then there’s the premature call for trades, then every quote is looked at as a problem and it all just piles up into a giant headache.
