CLEVELAND – As Jaylen Brown tied his sneakers for Thursday morning’s shootaround, he was fielding questions about his inconsistent playing time. In his last appearance at Quicken Loans Arena, five games into his career, Brown had his best game as a pro, dropping 19 points as a starter against the Cavaliers on November 3.
Brown’s performance against the likes of LeBron James on national TV opened eyes around the league, and he was looking every bit like the third overall pick that Danny Ainge envisioned on draft night. If anything, he looked like a seasoned vet.
