Celtics coach Brad Stevens can at least still joke amid his team’s recent struggles.
“That’s the first time I’ve ever said that,” Stevens said during an interview Wednesday on 98.5 The Sports Hub, when asked about the F-bomb he dropped during the Celtics’ nationally televised loss Tuesday night the to Toronto Raptors.
“Except every minute of the last two weeks,” he added, alluding to his team’s five losses in their past seven games.
The betrayal of the Indiana-bred coach’s purported Midwestern wholesomeness came after a technical foul was called on Jayson Tatum, punctuating a second quarter in which the Celtics were outscored 36-13.
