Brad Stevens told the Boston Globe’s Adam Himmelsbach that Gordon Hayward is doing “great” following his procedure on May 31. Hayward had a plate and screws removed from his left leg, but is on track to be fully cleared by early/mid August, according to the Celtics head coach.
Stevens said that Hayward was doing very well throughout his rehab in Indianapolis, but began to experience some pain in the “back side of his foot”. Rather than push off the procedure, they decided to get it done now so Hayward would be pain free by mid-summer.
