Brad Stevens Finishes Fourth in NBA Coach of the Year Voting

After guiding the Boston Celtics to an unlikely playoff berth, Brad Stevens finished fourth in NBA Coach of the Year voting after the results were announced on Tuesday.

The second-year head coach received two first-place votes, four second-place votes, and 28 third-place votes to finish with a total of 50 points. Thirty four of a possible 130 voters put Stevens in the top-three on their respective ballots. Los Angeles Clippers TV play-by-play voice Ralph Lawler and ESPN’s Mike Tirico were the two voters that put Stevens at the top of their ballots.

Stevens managed to help the Celtics excel in the final few months of the season, despite the fact the team’s front office that made numerous in-season trades of key players, such as Rajon Rondo and Jeff Green.
