On July 1, Dwight Howard will again, become a free agent and teams will bid on his services like they did three years ago. Two teams have already expressed interest and have lined up meetings with the center.
The two teams already known with meetings with Howard; the Atlanta Hawks, Howard's hometown team, and the Boston Celtics, as Marc Stein of ESPN has reported late Tuesday night.
Howard, who signed a free agent deal with the Houston Rockets in the summer of 2013, had an opt-out in his contract for this summer and due to reports of Howard and James Harden not getting along, plus the hiring of Mike D'Antoni as Houston's new head coach, Howard decided to pursue other basketball options elsewhere.
