On Wednesday, the Boston Celtics made a move that was unfortunately a long time coming when they cut the #16 pick in the 2016 NBA draft. Guerschon Yabusele never found his footing in Boston as he was playing in his fourth NBA Summer League and failed to show any progress. Unlike his draft class-mate Jaylen Brown, Yabusele doesn’t have a future with the Boston Celtics.
Now the Celtics have one more roster spot to fill. At this point in free agency, the pickings are slim. That being said, there are options for the Boston Celtics to fill out their depth and solidify their rotation with veterans that can step in if/when injuries hit.
