Over the last pair of seasons, the Toronto Raptors have been driven by the same goal that drove the Boston Celtics: beat the Cleveland Cavaliers. Like the Celtics, Toronto has seen their season ended by LeBron James and the Cavs. Each off-season, Toronto would try and re-shape their roster for the specific goal of moving past Cleveland and making it to the NBA Finals.
This season looked like more of the same for the two Atlantic Division rivals, but since the start of the new year, the two teams have been looking at a different path.
