Since parting ways with the Boston Celtics via trade from the trader himself, Danny Ainge, back in 2017, Isaiah Thomas has struggled to find a consistent home in the league.
The former All-Star and MVP candidate last saw action on the NBA’s hardwood back in early 2020 whilst suiting up for the Washington Wizards.
Despite putting up solid per-game stats of 12.2 points and 3.7 assists on 41 percent shooting from both the field and downtown, 40 games was all he got with the franchise, as they unceremoniously opted to trade the point guard to the Los Angeles Clippers, where he was waived within just days.
