Boston Celtics basketball is back and all is right with the world.
In their preseason opener, the Boston Celtics lost to the Charlotte Hornets, 104-97, at the Dean Smith Center in Chapel Hill, NC.
The Boston Celtics led, 60-45, at halftime but gave up their lead in the second half when most of the starters rested and the reserves came in. Boston jacked up 47 three-pointers in the game, but made just nine. At one point in the second half, the Celtics had missed 21 of their last 22 three-point attempts.
Jaylen Brown scored a team-high 14 points, while Marcus Morris (12 points), Terry Rozier (11 points), and Gordon Hayward (10 points) also reached double figures.
