The Boston Celtics do not operate like other NBA contenders. In Houston, James Harden is the entire offense and the rest of the roster (Russell Westbrook included) are meant to complement him. The Los Angeles Lakers are LeBron James and Anthony Davis‘ show. Their starting lineup is built around their weaknesses–JaVale McGee is there to play center since Davis doesn’t want to, and the Kentavious Caldwell-Pope/Danny Green duo is there for James kick-outs when he barrels down the lane.
The Los Angeles Clippers, Milwaukee Bucks and the Denver Nuggets are more spread out with their production, but ultimately they boil down to the strength of their superstars (Kawhi Leonard, Paul George, Nikola Jokic and Giannis Antetokounmpo).
