Newly-minted Boston Celtics President of Basketball Operations Brad Stevens gave the fanbase a treat with the return package he was able to land for the remainder of Kemba Walker’s max contract.
In returning Al Horford, Stevens brought back a proven postseason performer who has done his best work in Celtic green. The former center bolted Boston after it was clear Kyrie Irving wasn’t returning two summers ago, but ironically said he would have returned had he known Walker was on his way.
Now, he is the primary return in the deal that sends off the oft-injured PG to bring back the fan favorite.
