WALTHAM — The Celtics were exposed by Cleveland last month as a poor rebounding team, so there's little wonder that this morning's pre-draft workout featured some of the best mid-to-late first round power forward prospects on the board, including Arkansas' Bobby Portis, LSU's Jordan Mickey and Syracuse's Rakeem Christmas.
According to director of player development Austin Ainge, another group of power forwards and guards will be brought in tomorrow, though he declined to list names.
Though the trend among so-called fours is now to stretch the floor, the Celtics have a more basic need, something that Portis, with his self-described intensity, can certainly help.
