With the first overall pick of the 2019 NBA Draft securely in his pocket, new head honcho of the New Orleans Pelicans has a legitimate case to make to Anthony Davis to stay with the team, but according to Stadium's Shams Charania, that aspiration may be doomed unless something else changes.
After initial talks were held about such an eventuality, Charania is reporting that Davis' camp is "highly unlikely" to change their stance on wanting a trade.
For teams with plans on adding the coveted big man to their roster, there's some room to breathe (and believe) for the moment.
