The ink has not yet dried on a $304 million Supermax contract from the Boston Celtics for Jaylen Brown, but CelticsBlog’s Ben Dupont is already floating out when trade rumors involving No. 7 — which is when decisions must be made on contract extensions for Derrick White and Malcolm Brogdon.
“If the cap increase is less than (8% annually), his salary can’t increase with a trade,” Dupont prefaced before saying, “If he is traded in a year with a big cap increase, though, then he could see a pay increase of a million or so each year post-trade.
