BOSTON – Amir Johnson stays late after every Boston Celtics practice to work on his 3-point shot with assistant coach Jay Larranaga.
Rarely does the veteran big man ever showcase the 3-ball during a game, but his secret weapon was the difference maker Wednesday night as the Celtics knocked off the previously undefeated Chicago Bulls, 107-100.
Johnson made four straight triples in less than a six-minute span during the third quarter, which got Boston off to a racing second half start. That mark doubled his previous career high of two makes, and equaled the total amount of 3-pointers he made during the first seven seasons of his career combined.
