It’s a measure of Amir Johnson’s popularity during his six seasons as a Raptor that he was mobbed by the local media today.
The Celtics center finally looked up at the pack after general line of Toronto-related questions, spread his arms and said, “Any questions about Boston? Anything?”
But the truth is that one of Johnson’s greatest roles on a young, maturing Raptors team is one he is filling now for an even young Celtics team. But even he is impressed by the tightness of his new locker room.
“The team definitely gets along, man, this is one of the top locker rooms I’ve been in personality-wise and team-wise,” he said, acknowledging that the sheer youth of the Celtics has brought one aspect of his personality more to the forefront.
