SALT LAKE CITY – How do you know you belong in the NBA? When you prove to everyone that you don’t belong in the summer league.
That’s what Marcus Smart did Thursday night for the second time in as many games in Salt Lake City. He followed Monday’s 26-point night with a sensational 22-point, seven-assist, three-steal effort Thursday night against the Spurs, one that left Danny Ainge using the “s” word.
“He’s looked really special in some stretches of summer league thus far in the two games he’s played,” Ainge quipped after the game.
