76ers trade Nerlens Noel to Mavericks for Justin Anderson, Bogut

The Philadelphia 76ers traded forward-center Nerlens Noel to the Dallas Mavericks for guard-forward Justin Anderson, center Andrew Bogut and a 2017 first-round pick, a person familiar with the deal told USA TODAY Sports.

The person requested anonymity because he was not authorized to speak publicly until the deal is official.

Noel, who was drafted sixth overall in 2013 but has been plagued by injuries, is averaging 8.9 points and five rebounds in 29 games this season — his third in the NBA.
