Well folks, the NBA trade deadline has come and gone. Even though it was uneventful for the Boston Celtics, it certainly wasn’t for other teams.
The Atlanta Hawks, Houston Rockets, Minnesota Timberwolves and the Denver Nuggets got things going with a four-team, 12-player blockbuster. Clint Capela was sent to Atlanta to give Trae Young support, while Robert Covington was moved to the Rockets to fully unlock the 5-out small-ball style that Mike D’Antoni was successfully tinkering with in recent weeks.
Minnesota didn’t end there, though, as they jettisoned Andrew Wiggins and a pair of draft picks (one in the first round) to the Golden State Warriors for D’Angelo Russell.
