Irregardless of the Boston Celtics' 104-90 loss to the Houston Rockets on Saturday, Dallas Mavericks head coach Rick Carlisle had nothing but superlatives for Brad Stevens' crew in advance of Monday's matchup between the two teams in Dallas.
“Very well-coached, No. 1,” Carlisle said Monday morning, via Gary Washburn of the Boston Globe. “No. 2, high energy; they do a great job of manufacturing shots. I know they didn’t knock down a lot of shots against Houston, but they are a dangerous team, they’re deep. They’re getting better.”
The biggest worry for Carlisle? A healthy Rajon Rondo.
“We’ve been victim of a lot of his games where he’s done everything,” Carlisle stated. “Triple doubles, scoring, and assists, along with rebounds, timely steals. He’s a great player and we have to account for, and the guys around him are younger guys that are skilled and are getting better."
"He knows that and is going to keep them all involved.”
