In Celtics rumors tonight, Boston Celtics president of basketball operations Danny Ainge is prepared to absolutely overhaul the Celtics roster and chemistry this offseason.
Per Chris Forsberg of ESPN.com, Ainge is looking at all of the Boston Celtics' available resources in order to revamp and rejuvenate the team going into the 2014-15 NBA season:
"I’m going to try to blow off some fireworks, but I have to be patient as well and we have to make sure that we don’t do deals just to do deals," Ainge stated on Boston radio station The Hub.
"We have to do the right deals. Those are a lot harder than most people think or believe or understand. I’m not making any promises, we have a busy summer ahead of us, and there's a lot of different directions we could go."
The Celtics have a multitude of draft picks, expiring contracts, and trade exceptions that they can wield in trades, perhaps clearing up space to make a legitimate run at some of the top-tier free agents hitting the market this summer.
