The Boston Celtics got a break when the injury starting point guard Evan Turner suffered on Wednesday night didn't turn out to be serious.
The diagnosis was a thumb sprain after an MRI revealed only bruising and now structural damage.
It’s a little sore, but I’ll be all right,” said Turner, who had a small protective pad taped to his thumb. “Once the adrenaline kicks in and I get going, I’ll be fine.”
Turner was able to start tonight agains the Chicago Bulls and doesn't expect his minutes to be limited.
