Paul Pierce built himself quite a legend as a member of the Boston Celtics, and no amount of late-career jersey swapping will kill the bond that "The Truth" has with the organization and the fan base in New England.
It is should be no surprise then that the now-Washington Wizard sees himself coming back to Boston in some future capacity, regardless of whether he's wearing a suit or a jersey upon his eventual return.
SI.com: Think you will ever go back to Boston?
Pierce: "Definitely. Maybe as a player, maybe as a coach, maybe upstairs [in the front office]. I follow what they are doing. I went back to Boston twice this summer, went to their practice facility. I keep up with them."
Pierce also told the website that "it was tough to even play in that building" returning to Boston in a different jersey, citing the emotions that came with playing against his beloved Celtics for the first time - emotions that haven't subsided quite yet.
