The Boston Celtics acquired guard Austin Rivers and forward Tayshaun Prince in the three-team trade that sent Jeff Green to the Memphis Grizzlies, but there are still questions as to each player's future in Boston.
There are already rumors that the Celtics will send Rivers to the Los Angeles Clippers for more draft picks. President of Basketball Operations Danny Ainge gave his take on the team's plans for the duo.
“There’s just some uncertainty,” Ainge said. “We’re having conversations with Austin right now and trying to figure out what’s best. He could be in town shortly. Not tonight, but we’re still communicating with Tayshaun and Austin on what our plans are for them.”
Ainge said there is a chance that one or both play for the Celtics, but it seems unlikely that either will wear a Celtics uniform.
