With the combination of Rajon Rondo (hand) and Marcus Smart (ankle) out for Saturday's contest against the Chicago Bulls, the Boston Celtics will turn to Evan Turner as the team's starting point guard.
Here's A. Sherrod Blakely of CSN New England with the scoop:
Evan Turner will start at the point for the #Celtics tonight vs the #Bulls, says HC Brad Stevens. #CelticsTalk

Per Blakely, Turner's ability to counteract the length of Chicago's backcourt was a key factor in Brad Stevens' decision to start him:
Chicago's length was a factor in going with Turner to start, says #Celtics HC Brad Stevens. #CelticsTalk

Turner's debut with the Boston Celtics hasn't gone the smoothest, drawing frustration already from both fans and announcers alike. If Turner can regain some of the form on Saturday that made him such a tantalizing prospect with the Philadelphia 76ers, it will go a long way towards helping Turner's status with the Celtics faithful.
