The Boston Celtics have already made a flurry of trades over the past month, but that doesn't mean they're done making moves. According to Zach Lowe of Grantland, the Celtics are willing to take on salary dumps from other teams around the league:
Boston has been calling around the league over the last week, reminding GMs that Philly isn’t the only team with salary space to rent out as we approach the February 19 trade deadline.
A salary dump is when a team takes and waives (or attempts to flip) these players so their previous teams don’t have to, giving them cap relief while the team who receives the player also receives the draft pick.
Philadelphia has been known as the team others will go to if they want to dump a salary, but Boston is now in the mix as they undergo a rebuilding process and try to get as many draft picks as possible and have six different trade exceptions.
