A couple seasons ago, Zane McIntyre was penciled in as the Bruins’ goalie of the future. While his path to a starter’s role in the NHL has become a bit murky, he’s remained a solid contributor in the AHL.
The Providence Bruins beat the Charlotte Checkers by a score of 2-1 on Friday night, a fairly innocuous result early in the AHL season.
However, the game was a big one for McIntyre: per the P-Bruins, McIntyre is now tied for the franchise record for wins.
The win was McIntyre’s 67th as a Providence Bruin, tying the mark set by John Grahame from 1997 through 2001.
