Zane McIntyre continuing to make a name in Providence

The young goaltender has been called up four times already this season by Boston; however, since he has yet to appear in a game, fans are starting to wonder if the 2010 sixth-round pick from the University of North Dakota will ever be ready to claim an NHL roster spot on a full-time basis.

For McIntyre, it’s all about learning to maintain his emotions throughout the grind of professional hockey.

“It’s definitely a learning process going through it every day,” McIntyre said after the Providence Bruins’ 2-1 overtime win over the Hartford Wolfpack on Feb. 2. “Having those experiences of seeing these shots and going back and going back down, just kind of riding the wave of pro hockey.
