Women’s Recap: Fleet find Northwest Passage, beat Montreal in a shootout 3-2.

The first was all Montreal, so bad some fans surely turned off the game. While Boston had the early advantage the Victoire turned that around when Emily Brown took a penalty. Montreal scored on that power play and stalled Boston’s offense out for the remainder of the period. Montreal added a second goal and seemed to have the game in the bag.

After the intermission neither team pulled away from the other but the Boston special teams unit got a chance in the middle of the frame and their first round pick Hannah Bilka took a terrific feed from Megan Keller and slammed a shot home to initiate the comeback.
