WILMINGTON — With the fast and talented Tampa Bay Lightning visiting the Garden today and the Bruins trying to avoid an 0-3-0 start, there was a variety of developments yesterday at Ristuccia Arena — some good, maybe, and some not so good.
The worst news of the day, hardly unexpected, was that winger Brad Marchand suffered a concussion in his head-to-elbow collision with Montreal’s Dale Weise Saturday. Marchand actually brought about the blow, charging in from the side to try and hit Weise and skating into his elbow.
The concussion diagnosis was pretty evident in seeing a wobbly Marchand needing help to get off the ice and to the dressing room after the accidental hit.
