What we learned from the Bruins’ no-show in Florida

Bruce Cassidy expects growing pains with his young Bruins as they battle through the injury bug. He didn’t expect an effort his team put forth Tuesday night in front of a small handful of Panthers supporters at BB&T Center.

Defensive breakdowns, a lack of urgency in the attacking end and lethargic play along the walls all factored into Boston’s ugly 5-0 loss against their Atlantic Division foes Tuesday night. Here is what we learned as Cassidy and company suffered their biggest shellacking since the 7-0 opening night setback against the defending Stanley Cup champion Washington Capitals.
