What we learned: Bruins extend point streak to 15

The Bruins point streak will eventually come to an end. It wouldn’t have been surprising if Thursday was the night that the New York Islanders put an end to their 14-game run. After all, the Bruins were playing just 24 hours after a dominating 4-1 win over the Montreal Canadiens at TD Garden.

The Bruins got off to an ugly start in Brooklyn as they found themselves down 1-0 just 7:25 into the contest. Jordan Eberle’s tally after Brandon Carlo coughed the puck up in his own end marked the fourth consecutive game in which the Bruins allowed the game’s first goal.
