What we learned: Bruins drown Sharks

The Boston Bruins welcomed the San Jose Sharks to TD Garden on Hockey Fights Cancer night in search of their fourth consecutive victory.

And that’s exactly what they got.

Bruce Cassidy’s squad dominated from start to finish, outshooting the Sharks by a staggering 41-17 margin en route to their 5-1 victory.

David Pastrnak and David Krejci started Boston’s evening with their first-period power-play tallies.

Brent Burns cut the lead to 2-1 early in the middle stanza, but a trio of unanswered goals from Charlie Coyle, Chris Wagner and Brandon Carlo put the game out of reach right before the second intermission.
