The Boston Bruins escaped Montreal with two points on Thursday night thanks to some overtime heroics from Jake DeBrusk.
The Bruins’ winger called game for Boston just 25 seconds into overtime — converting on a 2-1 rush with Brad Marchand to secure a 2-1 win for the Bruins at Bell Centre.
You can watch DeBrusk’s goal below:
Hampus Lindholm jumpstarted the play in Boston’s own zone, pinning Montreal blueliner Mike Matheson to the boards and pushing the puck out toward Marchand en route to the odd-man rush.
After taking the feed from Marchand, DeBrusk slipped the puck past Montreal goalie Sam Montembeault with a backhand shot while gliding through the crease.
