The Bruins eliminated the Blue Jackets in Game 6 of their second-round playoff series Thursday, 3-0.
A first-period goal by Sean Kuraly was called back after a coach’s challenge due to interference, but the Bruins kept it coming even as the Blue Jackets generated 10 more shots on goal (39 to the Bruins’ 29.)
David Krejci’s second-period goal finally opened the scoring, while Marcus Johansson and David Backes added to the Bruins’ lead in the third period.
Tuukka Rask posted his first shutout in the playoffs since 2014, making 37 saves to send the Bruins to the Eastern Conference Finals.
