Through the first 16 games of the season, Tuukka Rask is playing like a Vezina Trophy finalist. While he still has a long way to go before being considered a Vezina winner for the second time in his career, he did receive league recognition for his stellar play.
On Monday, Tuukka Rask received first star honors as the NHL announced its weekly three stars. The eighth-year veteran joined Jets forward Mark Scheifele and Preds goaltender and fellow Finn Pekka Rinne as this week’s recipients.
During their busy five-game-in-seven-day stretch, Rask notched wins in each of his four starts.
